Bought the wife a new computer today

Post by NeonLeon on Sat Jul 04, 2009 9:37 pm

HP was having a 4th of July sale and I got a Dual Core 2.5GHz, 4 gig of DDR2 RAM, 1066 MHz front side bus, 360 gig hard drive, all the media connections, with Vista SP1 with a free upgrade to Windows 7. With the sale price and a discount cause she is a teacher we only paid $405.07. It includes all but the monitor but I got her a 22" for the old machine. All in all it's a pretty darn good deal. Their page is HPshopping.com.

yotaman wrote::thumbup: on the Deal Brother....just don't order anything from those dumb a$$e$ at New Egg I ordered a memory chip from them last Saturday paid for quick processing got a email that said was shipped on Sunday the warehouse is in Memphis seems DHL is now handling part of the shipping process. Well they wait till Tuesday to pick it up then take it to their (DHL's) processing center in KY 470 miles away. Then bring it back to Memphis on Thursday and give it to USPS so now I wont see it till next week. All this for something that should have gotten to me in 2 days max.

I've found anytime DHL is involved in the shipping process it's bound to get screwed up.

What was really messed up was that they were the only ones that shipped to Iraq when I was over there. We had to order stuff from the US and DHL almost always messed up the shipment.
