I have slept with a gun by my bed since I was 16 years old. they have ranged from a ruger 9mm to my new home defense Rock Island Armory 12gauge. The Shotgun has a tendency to slide side to side on the wall, so I had to come up with a better option.

I took a holder for a mag-lite and screwed it to the wall

I have since add a strip of foam insulation the the holder to keep from scratching the barrel

wow. That looks pretty serious. Any 'would be thieves' would think twice if they were scoping out your house. Sure beats a big dog. (and my schnauzzer)

We had one released from the pen last wkend. Early the next morning, rolled under a garage door and instead of just taking the car, the POS wakes the 83 yr old lady so he can slit her throat. Tracked him down in Indiana or Michigan using the OnStar.
