not this year, hopefully next. It's a great ride. One of my friends you met last yr is going again with his family. He rode the HD. Their roughing it this yr and pulling a 'toy hauler'. I think he's riding and some are trailering their ride. I'd like to go. I think the journey is better than the destination. It was great getting to know you Jeff, and hopefully seeing you again in the near future. I'd like to meet your family next time.

I saw where someone posted last week about Sturgis on one of my M/C sites and was curious, according to Mapquest Sturgis is 1400 miles from my house. I would love to make it one of these years. I love riding to parts of this beautiful country I have never seen.
Wife and I rode the Cherohala Skyway and BRP for my 50th birthday back in July and had a great time.

Would love to get out there someday. It maps out to 1,986 miles from my house and better than 30 hours of driving. Just a little much when I have Daytona only an hour from my house. Bike Week, Biketoberfest, Leesburg Bike fest and many others keep me running around here.

Just checkin. Didn't want anyone driving by and not stoppin. Wife and I will, are planning on, leaving the 10th or 11th. She's had a 285 mile day before but that was lots of stops. She doesn't ride much. So far shes not kicking about the tent. Could be heaven or heck.

Jeff, if I ever head that way I hope to meet you.
I know what you mean about wife and tents. I mentioned about putting our tent, sleeping bags in my M/C trailer and she virtually shot that idea.

Dave Let's consider going next year. This is more of a guys trip. Last year 4 guys and myself rode up there in three stops. Then headed south to Denver and Amarillo and home. Over all we were gone 9 days and loved it. All camping ecxept a couple of nights at friends. My wife and I have camped on many trips over the past 30 yrs. The trip to Sturgis is worth more than the destination. What impressed me about Sturgis itself was the country around it and most of the bikes there are NOT Harleys. Let's ride.

Dino, I have to see. Son is in college ($) and few things to be done around the house.
Time wise from work no problem. I can almost imagine the trip though.
