I Think I Broke My Dog

Post by Simpleman77 on August 19th 2011, 7:44 pm

I was rough housing with our 25 pound Sheltie tonight and he really twisted or pulled a muscle in his right front shoulder, leg or paw. Fed him half of a Bufferin and am waiting to see if he gets better over the weekend. I ran his shoulder area down his leg to his paw and nothing is broken so it must be a pulled muscle. Poor little beast, he's ten years old now and likes to play like a puppy. My own damned stupidity.

This is a pic of the little guy. Poor dog is hobbling around here on three as best he can. Nearly had to lay down to eat his dinner. I feel like crap and am hoping he heals up over the weekend.

Thanks for listening.

I hear ya Eric. WE have a little schnauzzer that thinks it's a doberman. I hope the best for your dog.

By the look on his face Eric, I think he's got something up his sleeve. Sleep lightly...

Well, I got up this morning at 4 to go to work. Chips was lame as ever, hobbling around like a wounded old man. Left on a BACA ride later in the morning and the wife called me and said that the little brat was 100% walking just fine. I would love to say that he was faking it but, I know that something just slipped back in or the muscle stretched just right and now, this evening he is just fine.
I know you feel better. Our pets are like our children.

Yeah, I do. He is truly a part of the family, and I have never gotten attached to any animal in my life.
