Tired old eyes.

Post by trip on May 11th 2016, 6:29 am

Going under the knife again.  Actually the laser.  Having cataracts removed and lens installed.  Hopefully get rid of these contacts and glasses.  I'm tired of not being able to see good and the night time driving has gotten hard in the last year.  Everything is set up, ready to go.  I go in this morning to set the date and time.  The worst part is even after medicare and insurance it's still expensive but I plan on being around for  a while longer and don't want to miss anything.  Cool

I keep thinking the same thing Trip ... my eyes are really bad and I have beginning signs of cataracts ... they want to wait because of the cataracts. Let us know when.

Having the left eye done Mon. morning. Decided to go with the Crystalens implant because of my life style and the reports I have read. The right eye will be done in around two weeks. Trying to schedule this thing around folks visiting and other activities. Not looking forward to the procedure but want to hurry up and get it over with.

Post by NeonLeon on May 12th 2016, 3:12 pm

I have to double check all the bolts and put the floor boars etc. back in .... and the Chevy will get a test run. We pulled the rear end, changed the shackles and bushings, removed and replaced the tranny ... and she is almost done.

Nap time!!

Sorry I stepped on your thread Trip .... I really thought I was starting a new thread. My buddy just had the procedure done and he said he never felt a thing. Thoughts and prayers.

Praying for you brother. My best friend is 72 with only one eye. We've ridden to Sturgis 4 times and the GC.

Wow.  Had the left eye done Monday and what a difference.  My problem now is the eye will stay dilated for about a week to help healing and everything is so bright.  Colors are so much more vivid.  Don't know if it's caused by the dilation or clearer vision.  Hoping to get the right eye corrected June 6th.  Thumbs Up

That's great news Trip! The cataract makes the lens "cloudy" so the color brightness should stay. When the dilation is done the "too bright" sensation will go away. Glad it came out all right.

Had my right eye fixed last Mon.  Went to my regular eye doc. this morning and he told me everything looks great and I have healthy eyes.  I'm very excited with the results and it should get better with time.  The procedure was interesting and not a bad experience.  Well worth it.  Cool
